I am working as a PTA in a pediatric outpatient setting in Surprise AZ. In the fall and winter, I volunteer with horse facility in Waddell AZ to help children with disabilities ride horses. During the summer months, I help children with disabilities with aquatic therapy. I am a certified yoga teacher and teach adaptive yoga at my clinic all year. I am also a CKTP (certified Kinesio tape practitioner) and use this knowledge to help people of all ages. During my time in pediatrics, I have also become certified in the Self-Regulation Alert Program that helps children with a wide array of sensory deficits.
In my past, I have worked in skilled nursing facilities and outpatient orthopedic clinics, and I have learned a great deal from both. I enjoy the field of Physical Therapy and hope to continue with schooling to transition from PTA to DPT.
